Getting Started

This guide covers signing in, setting up two-factor authentication, and navigating the Itinera dashboard.

Signing In

  1. Open app.getitinera.com in your browser.
  2. Enter your email and password provided by your administrator.
  3. Click Sign in.

If you don't have an account, contact your administrator for an invite link. There is no self-registration.

Troubleshooting Login

IssueWhat to do
"Invalid email or password"Double-check your credentials. Passwords are case-sensitive.
"Your account has been deactivated"Contact your administrator to reactivate your account.
Rate limit messageToo many failed attempts. Wait 15 minutes and try again.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

If your account has 2FA enabled, you'll be redirected to a verification screen after entering your password.

  1. Open your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.).
  2. Enter the 6-digit code shown in the app.
  3. Click Verify.

Lost Your Device?

Click "Lost your device? Use a recovery code" on the 2FA screen and enter one of your 8-character recovery codes. Each recovery code can only be used once.

tip

If you have fewer than 3 recovery codes remaining, you'll see a warning. Consider disabling and re-enabling 2FA from your Profile to generate fresh codes.

Dashboard Overview

After signing in, you land on the Dashboard — your at-a-glance view of fleet activity.

Stat Cards

Four cards at the top show:

  • This Week — routes created in the current week
  • Draft — routes awaiting dispatch
  • Active — routes currently in progress
  • Completed This Week — routes finished this week

Deviation Alert Banner

A red animated banner appears when any truck is currently off its planned route. It shows the count of active deviations and links to the routes list.

Recent Routes

The 5 most recent routes with color-coded status bars:

  • Yellow — Draft
  • Blue — Active
  • Green — Completed
  • Red — Cancelled

Click any route row to open its detail page.

Recent Activity

A chronological feed of the latest 6 actions across the platform (route created, dispatched, completed, deviation detected, etc.).

Low Fuel Alerts

An auto-refreshing widget showing vehicles with fuel below 25%. Displays the driver name and associated route number.

Fuel Price Upload

Drag and drop (or click to browse) a Love's fuel price Excel file (.xlsx) to update fuel pricing data.

Desktop

  • Sidebar (left): collapsible panel with links to Dashboard, Routes, Fleet, Analytics, and Reports. Admins also see Settings.
  • Top bar: includes a New Route button, dark/light theme toggle, notification bell with unread count, and user dropdown.

Mobile

On smaller screens, the sidebar is replaced by a hamburger menu that opens a slide-out drawer with the same navigation links.

Quick Actions

  • New Route button — available in both the sidebar and top bar
  • Notification bell — shows unread count; click to open the Notifications page
  • Theme toggle — switch between light and dark mode
